Client and The Problem

Client was experiencing significant delays in bulk order processing, with operations such as rate generation, configuration creation, label generation, and pick ticket generation being executed synchronously. This caused substantial bottlenecks when processing large batches of orders, forcing users to wait extended periods before they could continue working on Client Order Management Platform. The synchronous processing approach was severely impacting productivity and user experience, especially during peak order periods when multiple heavy operations needed to be performed simultaneously.

Solution

    We implemented a comprehensive background processing system that moves all heavy order-related operations away from the main user interface. The system now handles rate generation, configuration creation, label generation, and pick ticket generation asynchronously in the background, allowing users to continue working on Client Order Management Platform immediately after initiating these processes. We designed the system to maintain process accuracy and data consistency while providing real-time status updates to users about their background tasks. The solution includes proper error handling and retry mechanisms for failed background jobs.

Results

    Bulk order processing time improved dramatically, with users no longer experiencing delays when handling large batches of orders. Platform responsiveness increased significantly, allowing continuous workflow without waiting for heavy operations to complete. User productivity improved substantially as they can now initiate multiple processes and continue with other tasks while operations run in the background. The system maintains full accuracy and consistency across all order management modules while delivering a much smoother user experience. Processing capacity increased, enabling Client Order Management Platform to handle larger order volumes efficiently.
